''This is an easy dish but make sure to marinate the fish in advance before baking. I used Makeral for the recipe''
Fish pieces/ thick slices 4
1 tsp of tamarind pulp
juice of half lemon
red chillie powder 1/2 tsp
pepper powder 1/2 tsp
salt to taste about 1/2 tsp
turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
For frying: Rice flour
oil 2 tbsp
Wash the fish and drain. apply lemon juice and towel dry excess moisture.
Mix marinate ingredients together. tamarind, red chiile powder, garlic,cilantro, pepper powder and turmeric and salt.
Apply it to both side of the fish slices. and keep aside for 30minutes or more.
preheat the oven to 220C.
apply some oil to the baking tray. and some cilantro leaves.
Press the fish pieces on rice flour and keep on the baking tray.
Pour little oil with a spoon on top of the fish on both sides.
Grill/ bake on top rack for 10-15 minutes.
