Sprats (Dried) Tempered




'' A Sri Lankan side dish served along with plain rice''

Recipe:

Ingredients:

Sprats 100g
Bombay Onions 2 medium: sliced finely
Dried red chillie fine pieces 2 tsp (keli miris)
2 pieces Goraka 
Small potato cut like match sticks
Capsicum small sliced
Small tomato sliced
Little salt (optional)
Soya sauce 1tsp (optional)

Method:

Remove Sprats heads and wash well several times with the two pieces of goraka.
Remove excess water by pat dry them with kitchen towel.
Heat 2tbsp oil in a Frying pan
Add sprats and little red chille and fry till the sprats become brown and crisp.
Remove the sprats and keep aside.
In the same pan used heat little oil and fry potato with remaining red chille till it becomes crispy then add in onions, capsicum and fry till onions become golden.
Add in the tomatoes and sauté for minute.
Finally add the fried Sprats and mix well. Add soya sauce and salt if necessary.

Tip:
Quantity of red chille maybe increased according to taste.
