Soursop Drink (Katu anoda drink)



''A very healthy fruit and the drink made from it is very tasty and refreshing''

Recipe:
  • 1 - pound sour sop  
  • 1 and 1/2 - cups cold water 
  • 5 - tablespoon sugar (add more or less to taste) 
  • little salt
  • 1- squeezed lime
Method:
  • Wash the fruit to remove any dirt or foreign matter. Peel the fruit, by hand, and set in a large mixing bowl.
    Add water to the fruit in the mixing bowl. Using your hand, squeeze the fruit in the water and remove all the seeds. This will take about 2-3 minutes.
    Blend the soursop pulp with, cold water & sugar in blender.
  • Add salt and lime & blend again till smooth. Add more sugar if needed
  • Serve chilled.
Tip: can use milk and crushed ice replacing cold water for a richer drink. adjust the thickening of the drink with water if needed.

  3. Can you cook this (like mango curry, ambaralle curry)? What about unripe ones? Can u make a curry out of it?
